MAIN FOCUS

We support our customers before and after the concept development (strategy consulting) and also serve as a reliable partner who practically and efficiently implements their specific project on the C-Level management level.

Starting from the acquisition phase (PEP phase 0) and covering diverse tasks in the engineering phase (concept development, R&D, validation, prototyping and pre-series) and the industrialization phase and also during the SOP (milestone and maturity safeguarding, start-up management and series support).

Our team of professional experts provides a concept and project management tailored to the customer’s specific needs.

Our approach utilizes a method-driven, structured and transparent approach.

We prefer handle projects using the Lean Management methodology and the Six Sigma principles.

Our lean management consulting focuses on the value stream and avoiding waste during the value creation process.

Lean management can be understood as a management approach primarily characterized by the fundamental principles of decentralization and simultaneity. The object is to achieve greater customer orientation both internally and between companies together with consistent cost reduction for the entire company management.

Cost optimization throughout the entire product lifecycle.

The earlier customers utilize our methods and tools for calculation and profitability analysis in the product development process, the greater the potential optimizations. The strategy and development phase has a critical influence on the costs of a product. For example, the selection of the materials and the technical implementation play a central role in determining the future development, product and production costs.

Value analysis and value engineering (the terms overlap but are not identical) serve to optimize products and reduce costs. Integrating the value analysis method into modularization projects can achieve significant improvements.

Product costs are influenced by diverse cost factors. During the development phase, potential suppliers are involved in the process and the components are designed for the greatest efficiency and cost effectiveness with regard to functional costs.

Considerable potential cost reductions can still be achieved even with finished products that are already in series production. Using a bottom-up calculation approach, we determine the individual process costs and develop individual solutions to generate and utilize the cost potentials identified.

Supply chain management (SCM) is the termfor “within the companyand along thesupply chain” but also refers to the overall system-focused strategic inter-company coordination between traditional business functions and the tactical decisions between whose business functions aim to improve the long-term performance of the individual companies and the supply chain as a whole.

During the process, we support you as early as the acquisition or RFQ phase > during the purchasing and procurement process > production > with QA issues > packaging > delivery and transport.

Purchasing controlling is part the corporate management system and a subdiscipline of corporate controlling, whose primary task is to plan, manage and monitor the procurement corporate function. Purchasing controlling collates the data from Purchasing, Accounting and Materials Management as well as external procurement market data.

Change or be changed – plan together.

Supplier development refers to transforming the supplier with the aim of increasing its performance. Targets are developed with the supplier by classification and the evaluating the results.

Targeted supplier management to prevent supply disruptions, supplier and or customer.

Preventive Q-measures to safeguard product and plant efficiency
(as per VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, DIN ISO 9001), etc.

We support our customers throughout the entire value chain, covering diverse specialized issues such as

  • work preparation
  • industrial engineering
  • production control
  • development engineer
  • quality engineer
  • auditor
  • production and department management
  • and other areas on request

We provide support for the development of diverse innovative technologies (such as laser and welding technology, ultrasonic welding, various soldering and bonding processes, etc.), with the production of prototypes, during and with the validation along with the process approval including the (MFU/MSA).

For partially and fully automated systems and as per the VDA Automotive acceptance phases,
from the concept phase (layout approval, simulation, FMEA, design approval …) to the VOR-IB > >(production approval, MFU, stress test, transfer of risk, functional readiness, personnel training …) > BBÜ (PFU, …) >Final machine acceptance (with defects, without defects) >Project handover.

Ramp-up management encompasses the coordination of all ramp-up activities in the period between the creation of the first physical prototypes and the production of customer-ready products (SOP: Start of Production, Job No. 1) focusing on the logistical requirements for series production.

We support the digitalization of existing production facilities.

OPC-UA is the common language and the interface for your Smart Production.

If you want to communicate in a networked environment, you need a common communication platform. This forms the foundation for continuous data exchange or communication among the devices and systems.

We also provide support for digitalization/ Industry 4.0, assisted by PdM(Predictive Maintanance)
This ensures the highest plant performance together with optimum economic efficiency regarding the plant’s costs and service life!

Sales support refers to approaches to reduce the workload for Sales through external or internal measures. This usually results in sales optimization and better coordination.

RESTRUCTURING AND TRANSFER OF COMPANIES AND MANUFACTURING ACTIVITIES

Concept support as well as corporate and labor law support for restructuring processes.

Whether a strategy transformation, digital transformation, growth, consolidation, relocation or cost-reduction program – restructuring measures have now become a regular activity for most companies and corporate groups. PIM works with you to develop a tailored restructuring concept, supports your company with the preparation and implementation while also helping to avoid any pitfalls. Our labor law experts have years of experience negotiating with employee representation bodies and are happy to guide your company through the process.
